Lucci Auctions and Lunches

Knowing Erica Kane there has to be at least a latex skirt in the bunch!

Susan Lucci has survived day time television like no other performer. Four decades as a bonafide soap opera star, Lucci’s turn as Erica Kane on All My Children is pretty much iconic. Presently the star is making another bold move, but this time in the haute couture world. Lucci is auctioning off hundreds of personal items this first week of March.

Teaming up with estate seller Everything But the House, Lucci has some items starting at a price of only one dollar and the action, which runs until March 10th, will donate a portion of Lucci’s sale to United Cerebral Palsy of New York City (her grandson is afflicted with the disease). Included in the collection being offered are outfits Susan Lucci has worn on set, as well as pieces she has shown off at various events, plenty of which she told ET, “have been photographed on red carpets.”

Recently and dearly departed Debbie Reynolds is the Hollywood star the public most associates with an impressive collection of costumes and props. Reynolds’ collection though did not mostly include her own wares, as Lucci’s does. Amassing her valuables of the screen by buying the throw-aways of Hollywood studios back in the day, before her auctioning began Reynold’s collection included Marilyn Monroe’s subway dress from The Seven Year Itch and Dorothy’s red shoes from The Wizard Of Oz. In fact, Reynolds acquired so much stuff in her lifetime she housed some of her collection in a Las Vegas museum at one time.

Not to be outdone by just celebrity fashion, Lucci is also auctioning off furniture from her All My Children dressing room, a vintage Anne Klein, china and other accessories. In addition to the auction, there will also be a sweepstake, the winner of which gets to lunch with Lucci.
